Kendrick Lamar & SZA Light Up Minneapolis to Launch Grand National Tour

Kendrick Lamar and SZA kicked off their Grand National Tour with a massive, unforgettable show in Minneapolis — and set the tone for a summer of hip-hop history. It’s the first-ever all-stadium hip-hop tour, and they came out swinging.

Kendrick rolled up in style.

Just like at the Super Bowl, he rose from under the stage in that signature GNX. The crowd of 50,000 lost it as he opened with the brand-new “Wacced Out Murals.”

Nearly 3 hours. 50+ songs. Nonstop energy.

The show flowed like a relay — Kendrick would go off with hits like “King Kunta” and “Element,” then SZA took over, soaring above the crowd in a fairy costume for “Saturn.” From start to finish, it was a full production, not just a concert.

SZA brought the magic.

Far from an opener, she held her own — and then some. She dropped fan faves like “The Weekend” and “Love Galore,” and debuted new tracks like “Kitchen” and “Scorsese Baby Daddy” with wild, otherworldly visuals.

Old bangers, fresh drops, and a Drake diss anthem.

Kendrick also gave fans first listens to “Hey Now,” “Dodger Blue,” and “Reincarnated.” But it was “Not Like Us” that turned the stadium into one giant, shouting chorus.

Up next? The rest of the world.

The Grand National Tour hits cities across the U.S. through June, then crosses into Europe, wrapping in Stockholm this August.

If this opening night was just the beginning, fans everywhere are in for

something legendary.
